For those of you who were desperately waiting to see a sequel to "House on Haunted Hill," your wait is soon over. Also, raise your hand if you're interested in seeing a third sequel to "The Fast and the Furious."

Production has just wrapped on "Return to House on Haunted Hill," which will be released direct-to-video by Warner Bros. this September. Producer Joel Silver sees it as a test product of sorts, in that he'll happily greenlight more DTV sequels inspired by his Dark Castle titles if this one proves popular enough. Which is really great news if you're a fan of "Thirteen Ghosts," "Ghost Ship," "Gothika," "House of Wax," or "The Reaping."

Written by first-timer William Massa and directed by first-timer Victor Garcia, the sequel will star genre veterans like Jeffrey Combs, Erik Palladino, and Cerina Vincent. We haven't been given much in the way of plot details, but do we really need any? It's a haunted house flick!

In other sequel news, it looks like screenwriter Chris Morgan has sold an untitled adventure script to Universal, which is all fine and good, but in the same report we get this information: "Morgan also penned last summer's "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" for Universal. Based on the global success of "Tokyo Drift," which grossed $158 million worldwide, the studio tapped Morgan to write a fourth installment of the franchise."

Really? Another "F & F" flick? And it won't be going direct to video? Actually, I'm not that surprised. All you need is a bunch of cars and some photogenic faces and you're already halfway into production on a "Fast and the Furious" sequel.

Didn't House on Haunted Hill open at $10million it's first weekend? That's not very sequel inspiring. Good cast, of semi-known actors though. Like the hotty twins of Ali Larter and Bridget Wilson Sampras.

Here is my thing with the The Fast and the Furious franchise, make this the last sequel. Have all the stars from the other movies and bring back the director from the first movie. Call it the last ride or something. Universal and Chris Morgan better have good reason to do another Fast and the Furious. Without the people who help make this franchise, this is just another ho-hum popcorn movie.

Oh boy, you're really mature. My god. Could you be more insulting? I thought the person whose post you were replying to was being immature and annoying too, but your reply is childish as well. I have no problem with people liking popcorn entertainment like the [b]Fast & The Furious[/b] movies. I have enjoyed all three so far. I am fine with them doing a fourth, though I would like to see it bring back the original actors, like Paul Walker and maybe even Vin Diesel if he doesn't demand too much money. It doesn't mean these are great films though. But we all have our own taste. I enjoy all kinds of movies. I like popcorn stuff like this, but I actually love great films like [b]Brokeback Mountain[/b] too.

Prequels blow.

I cannot wait for a fourth installment in Fast and the Furious.

The third one was my favorite of the series, although I really loved VinDiesel in the first.

But that makes for an even better installment.

Vin Diesel and Lucas Black in the same movie?

Amazing.

I personally wish they could throw Paul Walker back into the mix with them as well, but that's next to impossible.

'Dom' and 'Sean' would be perfect together, though. Both rugged, straight-forward, not afraid of anything almost.

And they have another thing in common.

They both were running away from their crimes and troubles.

Dom running away (it looks like to Japan) at the end of the first film, Sean leaving to Japan to avoid his crimes.

A great movie in the making, folks. :)
