During summer break, Lizzie McGuire and her closest pals head off on a school-sponsored journey to Rome. Before long she makes the acquaintance of Paolo Valisari, a local music sensation whose duet partner looks almost exactly like Lizzie. Since Paolo and his collaborator recently feuded, Lizzie agrees to stand in for the girl at a massive concert and pretend to sing while a recording plays. But when things don't go as planned, she must rely on her own vocal chops.

This movie was cheesy fun. The main reason I watched this movie was because Robert Carradine was in it. Loved his character and wish he had more screen time. The songs in the movie were great. The story was predictable especially the ending. I really wish lizzies best friend would've gone home instead of sticking around. Too many times in these movies the girl never gets what's coming to her by ignoring how much her buddy likes her. Tim Treakle

Hilary Duff's iconic role in The Lizzie McGuire Movie is a testament to her talent and enduring appeal. It's heartening to see a Disney Channel star thrive beyond their childhood fame, and Hilary Duff's down-to-earth presence is undoubtedly part of her lasting charm. The film is an overall fun experience. Grading: C+
