Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh team up in "Mayday," a genre-bending, action-packed buddy comedy that flips the spy thriller on its head. Ryan Reynolds’ perma-Deadpool edge of slick sarcasm isn’t for me, but it’s put to great use in this Cold War buddy comedy from Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley (Dungeons and Dragons).

A pleasant Saturday afternoon romp. Nothing new or exciting here but a good bit of popcorn with a fun performance from Kenneth Branagh. Highlight for me was the wine cellar scene.

Kenneth Branaugh is great! Ryan Reynolds needs to retire he’s only one note and it’s not a good one. Fine to have on while you’re reading news or scrolling. We need more originality again these things feel so rote.
