This, to me, looks like it may actually be a worth-while horror movie. Then again tho, the only thing that scares me are STD'S. I haven't had a movie scare me since I was 8, watching "USA: Up All Night" hosted by Gilbert Godfrie (or however you spell his name).

If the "red-band" trailer produces this many yawns...
It just seems like every other new horror movie has that "been there, done that" look to it....

I've got to admit, that jaw-rip was pretty disgusting. The rest of the movie looks like a pretty standard horror movie. And plus, now we know how at least two of the characters die...

Most ghost story Korea rip-off red-band-trailer-touting pieces of **** have some kind of mirror scare in them. You can set your watch to them.

Is anyone surprised nowadays when a character opens their mirrored medicine cabinet, gets something, closes it and then BAM! Someone's behind them? At this point, I'd be terrified if there WASN'T.

And now we get a whole movie entirely devoted to this crap, with a spawn-of-satan kid (who has no problems with demons possessing his house) as the cherry on top.

I'm not saying it can't be scary. I haven't even seen it yet. What I can judge is the trailer, and man am I bored.

yeah, again this isnt a wholly original film, since its a remake of...hey! yet another japanese film.

but Alex Aja might be make a worthwhile film...so you never know.

i'm hoping this is a good movie because there are almost NO good scary movies in this day and age. SAW and HOSTEL is not horror. those arent scary, they're just disgusting.

Of the recent good scary movies, most come from foriegn countries, such as The Descent from the UK and The Orphanage from Spain.

I've had my jaw clamped shut since I saw this trailer ;]

It doesn't look very good, though. Probably the whole "From the director of The Hills Have Eyes" turned me off of this movie.

None of the critics have reviewed this yet...frequently not a good sign. Is it being pre-screened?

I think the trailers make it look creepy, but horror movies in general are kind of a yawn for me. I've seen very few that I thought were really good movies. And I've seen a couple that were only partly worthwhile (I'm thinking specifically of Jeepers Creepers--I thought the first half or so of that movie was spectacular; but then, when the big reveal came and we learned that the killer was really a demon who only comes out every 7 years for a victim, it all fell apart for me).

The Shining was pretty good too (Stanley Kubrick version) and the original Halloween. But I think horror movies are like movies in any other genre; the story is what really matters. If there are good, believable characters that the audience cares about and roots for and a good story, than it truly is horrific when those characters meet some horrific end.

Nobody gets to review this movie beforehand, because it will fail as the piece of **** its bound to be.
