on Jul 03 2008 05:05 PM I think watching the 2nd trailer first, with english subtitles, might be a better idea. When I read John Woo, I was reluctant to bother seeing the trailers. Paycheck and Windtalkers are two of my all time least favorite films. Although, I must confess, I couldn't bare to watch all of Windtalkers. Then I noticed that Tony Leung is in the film. Tony Leung is one of my top 10 favorite actors/actresses currently working. He was fantastic in the last half of "Chunking Express." He worked with Woo in "Hard Boiled," which is my favorite Woo film ever made, even better than "The Killer." He was also in "Hero" and "Infernal Affairs" before "Infernal Affairs" became "The Departed." Then I noticed that the film reminded me quite a lot of "Hero." But, that's not a bad thing. I'll try to see this film as soon as possible. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 06 2008 10:49 AM i thought it was 9 minutes of that horrible jada pinkett smith movie. i wish i were kidding, but i seriously thought that. i was SO happy to see that it was this instead. this movie looks fantastic. i hope that if they do give us some edited cut of both halves of the movie, that they at least give us a special edition dvd with both parts of the film.
