Director Snagged for Amanda Bynes' Shakespeare Modernization
Variety gives us the scoop on a modern-day take on "Twelfth Night," which will be directed by Andy Fickman ("Reefer Madness") and starring Ms. Amanda Bynes ("What a Girl Wants"). "She's the Man" is, not surprisingly, "a story about the comic and romantic complications that ensue when a teenage girl poses as her missing twin brother for two weeks." The comedy is a DreamWorks production, and Lauren Shuler-Donner ("X-Men," "Timeline") will be the producer on the scene.

on Apr 06 2005 11:37 PM Somehow, I can't see Amanda Bynes dressing up as a boy and making it believable. She's so cute and fine...she's so not boyish like Hilary Swank. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 07 2005 03:39 AM Yeah, but it's amazing what you can do with prosthetic makeup these days... I sure as hell hope they're going to modernise the speech as well. I walked out of a performance of Midsummer Night's Dream on the grounds that I had no clue what was going on. (Reply to this) |
