Will Ferrell On Ice Skates!
by Scott Weinberg | September 06, 2006
Blog Article | Discuss Article
With "Talladega Nights" one of the summer's big comedy hits, it's no surprise to learn that insane person Will Ferrell is tackling another sport for his next movie. It's called "Blades of Glory," and it's got one heck of a supporting cast...

Click right here to check out Mr. Ferrell in his ice skating costume, complete with goofball wig.

The "Blades" plot synopsis: "In 2002, two rival Olympic ice skaters were stripped of their gold medals and permanently banned from men's single competition. Presently, however, they've found a loophole that will allow them to qualify as a pairs team."

Directed by first-timers Josh Gordon and Will Speck, "Blades of Glory" also stars Jon Heder, Will Arnett, Jenna Fischer, Amy Poehler, Rob Corddry, and William Fichtner. "Glory" is currently scheduled for a March 2007 release.

Can't wait. I always like Will Ferrell's movies (except for Bewitched).

I must be brainwashed because every stupid thing this man does is incredibly funny to me. Stop hypnotizing me with your comic chops, dammit.

Rob Corddry? I suspect he'll be in this movie what Steve Carell was in Anchorman. An incredibly awesome supporting character.

Looks cool, but I absolutly hate Jon Heder though. Can't wait to see Will Arnett and Will Ferrell together.

I can't stand Heder either, but I love William Fichtner.

Still itching to see Ricky Bobby, it isnt out over here in the UK yet. Looking forward to 'Blades' too. There is something about Ferrell that never fails to crack me up. Kicking and Screaming should have been a movie I disliked, (family comedies arent usually my thing), and in many ways it was, but some of the stuff Ferrell did in that had me in tears. Like when he ran on the pitch and pushed the little kid over! Haha.

"Wave good bye to juice box kids. I SAID WAVE!"
