The sheer plastic nature of everything on screen, from Foster's ridiculous title character to the ridiculous plastic pathos of her life to the plastic spookiness of the story and scenes, everything is plastic. This starts off as a plastic nightmare of a show. And somewhere along the line the plastic starts to burn and the fumes are acrid and toxic. Now, if you happen to have inhaled enough fumes in your TV and movie travels, then these fumes might work for you. They mighty even get you a little. But if you live, your return to the realm of the living will be marked by the most excruciating pain. You might suffer permanent and crippling brain loss. As a result, any show will seem infinitely better than this. Which, haha, some might consider a win. Lopez made me meet my idol and boy was that crushing. Foster is just a standard below-averge IQ person - she brought the nothing that she is to this role. What a putrid, plastic nightmare this is! There's of course some plot holes and forgettable scenes, but there are more interesting storytelling than bad. The mystery of the researchers turning into a who-done-it with some great jump-scare moments. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this show, and have watched it over a few times. Having spent time in the Arctic myself, the mood is captured very well. Only wish is we get a season 2 with these characters- though I know that's not the format. See more Read all reviews
