Actress Candis Cayne is a familiar face to fans of the show Dirty Sexy Money, but the vivacious performer began attracting attention long before she was cast in a popular TV series. Born as a male, Cayne felt her true identity was female from the beginning, and once she was through with high school, she moved to New York and became a fixture in the 1990s drag scene, participating in the yearly festival Wigstock, and befriending popular drag icon RuPaul. Eventually, Cayne underwent complete gender reassignment surgery and treatment. She also soon found more lucrative avenues for her talents, joining the cast of Dirty Sexy Money in 2007.
