Perhaps best known for his role C.D. Parker on Walker, Texas Ranger.Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.Taught government and economics at Sam Houston High School prior to pursuing his acting career.Made his theatrical film debut in 1971's The Last Picture Show with Jeff Bridges and Cybill Shepherd.Was the Republican challenger in the northeast Texas 1st congressional district against then-incumbent Democratic congressman Max Sandlin in 2000.
