Celebrity chef Robert Irvine began his culinary career in a less than glamorous location, working as a cook in the British Royal Navy. He subsequently worked his way into the most prestigious echelons of cooking, working as an executive chef aboard top-tier cruise ships, writing popular cookbooks, and creating his own line of titanium cookware. In 2007, Irvine became the star of the Food Network series Dinner: Impossible, in which he and his team were given the task of creating an elaborate, high-class meal under tremendously difficult circumstances, such as cooking on a desert island, or using only 18th century cookware.
