Movie Info

This version of Charlotte Bronte's classic romance is greatly subdued and plays down the Gothic aspects in favor of creating a more realistic view of the star-crossed relationship between two tortured souls. The film follows the trials of the sad young governess as she finds love with her enigmatic employer.

    I read the book long time ago. It pisses me off how they ruin some Movies based upon books.

    The passionate tale of forbidden secrets! This Movie totally stole my Heart. Very intense and a great Love Story. It is based upon a book but I m glad that they are so <i>Kind to make the Movies</I><br> <center>Shadows are just as important as the light. </i>

    Based on Charlotte Bronte's book, this is a story of a young girl who has a terrible unbringing in a home. She goes to work as a governess for a little girl and falls for the master.
