Movie Info

Lorna Doone is an A&E original movie adaptation of R.D. Blackmore's novel about forbidden love in 17th century England. Amelia Warner (Quills) stars as Lorna, an independent and beautiful member of the aristocratic and lawless Doone family who rule the local countryside. Lorna is expected to marry the ruthless Carver Doone (Aidan Gillen), but falls in love with the passionate young farmer John Ridd (Richard Coyle). The conflict is further complicated when Lorna learns of John's vowed revenge on the Doones for the death of his father. Lush photography enhances the exciting action in this classic misadventure.
