Farah R. @Farah Apr 26 Solstice is better described as a crime thriller than a horror movie because, despite several familiar horror tropes, the story lacks terror-inducing scenes or even cliche jump scares. This swamp-set horror is okay, but features some actors playing roles that feel as if they were written for characters meant to be at least a decade older than who is ultimately playing them, which I found really distracting.
