This year’s program is fairly unique in that there are no glossy, Hollywood-made contenders in the mix, which makes for a broad-ranging survey of what independent artists are doing with the medium at the moment. Go to Full Review

Wander to Wonder is the best of this program while Magic Candies is easily the weakest. Go to Full Review

My favorite among the animated shorts is Daisuke Nishio’s "Magic Candies," which delivers on its titular promise with a glorious swirl of confectionery spells. Go to Full Review

Carol R 2d These animated short films were engrossing, and I’m glad an extra short was included. My favorite was “Butterfly” (Papillon). See more Julie 2d Unique and liked the format of short films. See more Paul Mar 3 Butterfly was very sad. See more Brian B Feb 28 Love the chance to see these in a theater, they're so varied and great and different ways See more christine f Feb 24 Wonderful and touching movies See more Anne v Feb 22 Sorry to be a downer on these, but is was very disappointing. Story lines very extremely weak and animations poorly done. We usually try and get to see these shorts prior to Oscars, and this year is even more disappointing than previous years. Quality is on a fast track of a downwards spiral! See more Read all reviews
