Nilesh V @RT81033460 Jul 27 Aashiqui 2 is not like movie....it is emotions to make you cry 😢😢....it's touch your soul....... because when you love someone in deeply, it's always hit your soul and all the things of this movie is directly hit your soul to become over emotional....you never come out from this movie once you watch this movie because their emotions carry to you in that world where you alone with this movie and your beloved partner who is not with you exactly.....every scene make you emotional because beautifully direct all the scenes....and thire songs always sounds around you after watching this movie ...if I talk about performance of lead actors as they have not acted ...you can feel like ..they seems to have lived those characters... See more Hemant S @RT50421404 07/17/2023 "A Star Is Born" has been remade a few times after the first film came out in 1937. 1954, 1976 and the most recent Bradley Cooper-Lady Gaga starrer in 2018. A story about musical artistes – one a fading legend and another, a fresh, new protégé, intertwined with a romantic bond. The core spirit stayed the same, although the music always moved on with the era. Hrishikesh Mukherjee's "Abhimaan" (1972) also had traces of the story, but was different in its own way – and optimistic. "Aashiqui 2" was an adaptation, a remake of the Hollywood classic in an Indian setting. Released a decade ago in 2013, it re-introduced Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in as leads, after their initial stints in supporting roles. I remember watching this in a theatre back then, though I didn't know what the story was or about the history of "A Star Is Born". I had heard some good things from my colleagues and I liked something about the leads as a romantic couple when I would watch the songs or trailers on the tele. Something about the chemistry between the two Kapoors. Something about the music. Maybe a combination of both. I can't put a finger on what it was, but it made me curious enough to watch the film. The music of the film wrapped itself around me right from the outset. Melodious and innocently charming. The frequent use of an acoustic or rock guitar in almost every tune had me hooked in. A compilation lead by Jeet Gannguli and supported by tracks from both Mithoon and Ankit Tiwari, this was possibly the last ever complete album that I "adored". Arijit Singh had found success in bits and pieces over playback through the previous couple of years, but "Aashiqui 2" was his biggest breakout with six ballads, including the addictive "Tum Hi Ho" which was possibly the film's most popular track. The texture in his voice has been emulated way too much after his success. Ankit Tiwari found his own popularity for his vocals and composition in "Sunn Raha Hai", but Shreya Ghosal's female version tipped the scales for me. Though my own personal favorite amongst them all was "Piya Aaye Na", rendered by the late K.K. and Tulsi Kumar. The emotions of the circumstances in which the song plays was enlivened by the lyrics and melody itself, a certain kind of tang to it. And K.K.'s unforgettable voice made it that so much more special. The youthful duet that radiates a budding romance, "Chahun Main Ya Naa" sung by Arijit and Palak Muchhal, "Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi" – Arijit's solo and well fused rock ballad that sings out emotions of a struggle between lovers. Just a few in a compilation that binds so well with the story. I honestly think "Aashiqui 2" was one of the finest performances for both Aditya and Shraddha. Fresh in their fledgling careers (then) and oozing innocence, they carried those qualities to their characters which brought out genuine performances. Especially for Aditya Roy Kapoor – his arc through decline, redemption, envy, a struggle with addiction and love comes through with his unfettered expressions and mannerisms. It was also a feather in the cap for Mohit Suri, for his unique and fragile treatment of the story. I have to confess, the phase of life when I watched "Aashiqui 2" was a memorable and significant one for me, which is probably a big reason I have an extremely big soft corner for it. When I got through the film, I was still trying to get my head around the bittersweet conclusion. Addiction, depression and suicidal inclinations. At that stage of my life, I didn't really relate to and understand depression and the thoughts that can drive someone to end their own lives. But I really gave it a deep thought keeping perception and judgement aside. It can exist, even if it is not inside you. It can override any concerns about the consequences to the loved ones. The decline in the health of a mind may not always show on a face. And I think empathy, understanding and communication is essential from the people close to someone in that situation. I can relate to and understand it fully well now. I haven't seen the predecessors (I want to), though I did catch the 2018 version in a theatre as well.
