A mix of Studio Ghibli background art, the trio of Tokyo Godfathers, and the third act from The Wild Robot. all characters get little to no backstory or true motive, even the parents.

This anime full length feature is fantastic! I was overwhelmed by the use of color that enhances and gives emotional value to this film. It is definitely a family film and the odyssey that Arco takes you on is simply, magnificent. Voiced by famous actors it is a film of hope, searching, survival and the need to keep on going until you find your raison d'etre. I do not wish to give away the total storyline but there is nothing like this incredible boy who wants only to be reconnected with his family.
