I think Bienvenu's debut film owes too much to the Ghibli aesthetic and proposes a hopeful (perhaps even idealistic?) discourse bordering on New Age imagery, when imagining the future of humanity. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

...little visual fanfare other than the blast of Arco’s rainbow outfits. The action sequences seem like they’re too large for a slice-of-futuristic-life story, and yet the stakes seem so little. Go to Full Review

jesse v 3h A mix of Studio Ghibli background art, the trio of Tokyo Godfathers, and the third act from The Wild Robot. all characters get little to no backstory or true motive, even the parents. See more VegasV 4h This anime full length feature is fantastic! I was overwhelmed by the use of color that enhances and gives emotional value to this film. It is definitely a family film and the odyssey that Arco takes you on is simply, magnificent. Voiced by famous actors it is a film of hope, searching, survival and the need to keep on going until you find your raison d'etre. I do not wish to give away the total storyline but there is nothing like this incredible boy who wants only to be reconnected with his family. See more Kyle H 10h Rich visuals with a compelling story See more MS 11h It was cute film with many layers of the matters that modern society is facing. The subtlety of big emotions and details are beautifully portrayed. See more Cassandra H 1d Magical, moving, beautiful.
