donnie M @RT64375194 Jun 17 i LOVE the other 3 bridget Jones movies and watch them whenever they're on hbo or showtime and give them 5 stars because 'the cast' works-her friends, her parents, the song choices which are all amazing and and the circumstances and just the way Bridget is as in 'awesome' and she is my all time favorite actress but this movie-BORING and maybe 'woke' is the word-it's like a bunch of jumbled up stuff and if Renee wasn't in it-i wouldn't have kept watching-would be great to do a Bridget Jones 5 with all the great people in 1, 2 and 3 but i'd sure miss Marc Darcy See more pudgy P @Rongreasely Jun 13 Ruined the legacy of the original films. The humor is still present, but the story shifts toward grief, maturity and the need to keep living after loss. That change makes the film feel less spontaneous than earlier entries, yet more emotionally honest. Its greatest strength is the way it allows Bridget to grow. She still carries awkwardness and uncertainty, but now her choices feel more thoughtful, especially when they affect her family. The film is not the funniest in the series, and some attempts to recover the old comic rhythm feel less fresh. Even so, its emotional weight gives it a sense of closure that feels earned. Rather than repeating youthful chaos, it offers a warmer and more mature ending for a character who has finally learned how to choose herself.
