Blu B @RT43513976 Jan 30 I can mark the exact spot where this went from a terribly boring and unfunny comedy to a complete borderline incoherent dumpster fire. It's when the gopher showed up at the dinner party/resturant. After that it just starts pancaking on itself with bouncing around between over the top lame unfunny gags that take too long to set up. The humor is TERRIBLE here and the biggest strike. The music isn't good. Like it's barely used giving this a terrible dry tone feeling. Otherwise when it is it's glorious 80's pop that still forgettable. Everything else is bad. The plot is so stupid, feels forgotten about half the time for unfunny gags, and the stupid gopher. Dan Ackroyd is terrible in this also. Skip this. Is it one of the WORST movies ever? Maybe of the decade and genre it's a contender but the first 30 minutes is just painfully boring more than anything before it pancakes. I was actually expecting much worse but it's really bad still. See more Hughe J @Hughe Jan 9 Caddyshack II was released in 1988 and is the sequel to the 1980 classic of the same name. The only returning actor from the first film was Chevy Chase and starring alongside him was Jackie Mason, Dyan Cannon, Robert Stack, Dina Merrill and Dan Aykroyd. The first movie had an excellent cast with Rodney Dangerfield owning every scene he was in backed up by great performances by Ted Knight and Bill Murray. This new cast was simply terrible as every actor seemed bored, but not as bored as I was trying to sit through this. The plot is somewhat the same as the first movie with a golfing tournament taking place at Bushwood Country Club, but that's where the similarity ends. The cast has no chemistry together, the movie is poorly shot and for me felt more like an extended tv episode like Love Boat or Fantasy Island due to all of the character actors appearing at the end of their careers.
