After the death of her best friend's husband from cancer, spirited Yorkshire housewife Chris Harper (Helen Mirren) hatches a scheme to raise money for a memorial to him. Utilizing a tradition from the hidebound Woman's Institute association, Chris encourages Annie (Julie Walters) and their friends to create a calendar -- with the novel detail of using the middle-aged women of their village as nude models. Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

I avoid movies about "cute" old people or films that make fun of older adults. But I love Helen Mirren. These days charming can be damning . But really this very charming film says a lot about love and friendship and bravery. Those are qualities are seldom shown in middle aged characters in today’s films. A wonderful cast and for me 2 hrs of enjoyment

It's a good fun watch, but I think the storytelling could be tighter. Love that this actually happened! The sense of community is established early on, and holds well throughout the film. A great cast does a brilliant job
