Russ G 1d I'm grading this early B-movie talkie on my usual curve; it gets 2 1/2 stars not because it's really good but because I'm allowing for the budget and movie-making tech of the time. Stars silent film idol Richard Barhelmess as one of two brothers, and lovely Sally Eilers as the girl who loved them both. Notable for some pre-Code nautiness; an unmarried couple check into adjoining rooms with a pass-thru door conveniently unlocked. Later we get a married couple in the same bed which was Verboten by the Hayes Code. There's some good footage of aerial acrobatics, or aerobatics if you prefer, and reasonably well done model special effects - again, making allowances See more 03/12/2012 roamtic le in this pre-code look at planes and airports long b4 'airport" & airport 77 " See more Read all reviews
