This Dulquer Salmaan film, about dream-makers and those who destroy those dreams, is less satisfactory than it should have been. Go to Full Review

Not only is this premise a droll kick up the arse for the Scream-style meta-slasher, it has to be the first film in which someone says “I need a critic” in the same imperative tone usually reserved for a Swat team or an elite hitman. Go to Full Review

Chup is absolutely hilarious when it focuses on its slasher aspect. The murders are incredibly creative. Balki uses the freedom that comes with the A-rating to its fullest. Go to Full Review

For this critic Chup remains an interesting, intriguing idea that couldn’t quite execute what it ambitiously set out to achieve . Go to Full Review

Director R Balki's Chup: Revenge of the Artist isn't a slasher horror or a serial killer thriller; it's actually a parody of those genres, with lots to say about the state of films and film criticism. Go to Full Review

Yash S @RT23602091 Oct 16, 2026 Chup is the kind of movie that keeps you hooked from beginning to end, not giving you a single moment to look away. What I loved most was how the story kept me on the edge of my seat while delivering a powerful message: Can a single person's opinion define the worth of a movie? Every person has a different perspective, different tastes, and different emotions. A movie that feels ordinary to one person might be a masterpiece to another. Cinema is an art, and art cannot be judged by a single standard. Not every movie needs to satisfy every critic, and not every review needs to define a movie's worth. Sometimes, the best way to judge a movie is to watch it yourself and form your own opinion. At the edge A gripping story with a thought-provoking message. Definitely worth watching! 🍿 See more Mr E @RT72432446 May 11, 2025 I had watch this movie last night and was very good movie See more Kabid R @RT88804063 Jan 30, 2025 Dulquer Salmaan and Shreya Dhanwanthary delivered captivating performances, and the film boasted visually stunning scenes. However, the casting of Sunny Deol felt misaligned(the police felt a little comedic), and either Manoj Bajpayee or Kay Kay Menon would have been a more suitable choice. While the film's concept was brilliant, its execution, though competent, felt somewhat lacking, resulting in an overall sense of incompleteness. See more Aarush K @RT94563385 Jan 15, 2024 Some films in our cinema don't get the recognition they deserve same with chup. It was so good. The best phsyco thriller that Bollywood can make See more Flixster F @RT77094268 Jul 12, 2023 Dulquer Salmaan reminded me of Joe (YOU). Shreya Dhanwanthary is also impressive. Sunny Deol is his usual while Pooja Bhatt doesn't have much to do. The first half of the movie is great but the second half is not so good. The ending specifically is very disappointing. Who-dun-it was apparent, but It could have been presented in a better way. Example: Throwing the body out of the window was nonsensical. See more Aman A @amanahmad May 13, 2023 The movie was good it had a very unique idea although at some points some scenes were exaggerated and were kinda boring, but overall it was good if you're watching casually and wanna have some semi-thriller experience I would recommend it!
