COME WITH ME follows Simon, a working class man who finds his life upended after suffering a traumatic home invasion. Compounded by trouble at his job and the loss of his best friend, and fueled by a rhetoric-spewing radio host, Simon begins a deadly descent into his own mind, trying to rectify the perceived wrongs and cleanse the injustice he starts to see in the world around him.

I was lucky to be able to attend the Beverly Hills Film Festival and watch this thought provoking film with the cast and crew as it debuted. It explores the society we live in and how easy it is to become radicalized by a traumatic event or from becoming audience to the wrong rhetoric. It took me on a journey where I cried while witnessing tremendous loss and froze in shock witnessing the response to this. Prepare to contemplate this film long after leaving the theater or turning off the TV.

Absolutely does tap into something in the zeitgeist. Speaks to the class of grifters that pontificate on societal failure just vaguely and charismatically enough to grab people's attention at their most vulnerable. Simon is the end state of the alienated man. He is the scream in the painting. Of course we turn to base instinct when all else fails to provide meaning. "We need more insurrection, not less" says the millionaire talk host, after ads for gold, bunkers, and firearms play. But everybody knows where they would (or would not) be, if and when shit hit the fan. while offering nothing concrete

I think it speaks to the animalistic society we live in today. Everyone tries to pick a side or lean into something and be spoken to. For Simon... Dalton Kirby was just a voice on the radio....background noise....but after a bit of trauma...the background noise was speaking directly to him....Fear and Violence...Chicken and Egg....Worth a watch...Ronnie Blevins and Theo Rossi are the real deal.
