Danger Close fetes veterans less than it does Quade, who gets to talk herself up, often in an unseemly manner, coming across as braggadocios about her own bravery even as she pays lip service to the solemnity of her job.

Very good. It shows the bravery, commitment and honor of the forces in Afghanistan. I can believe the reporter went over and lived with those guys.

Reporter embeds with ODA. Gets hurt hopping off a HMMWV. Becomes a liability. Goes home. Climbs a mountain. Returns to Iraq. This whole doc is more or less a "look at how brave I am" by some reporter who circled it around a SF Group to gain relevancy.

Danger Close, the latest in the Heroes of Valor collection, follows freelance reporter Alex Quade as she tells the story of fallen Green Beret Rob Pirelli. Through all of the self-shot footage, Quade does a great job showing the authentic experiences and bravery of our troops while deployed. Out of every movie I have ever seen, this has taught me the most about what our selfless soldiers go through. Having loved this documentary, I recommend it to those who want to support and learn about what our soldiers do.
