Harrison M @HCM560 2d Unfortunately the app doesn’t allow scores below 1, but nonetheless, I’ll begin. This movie as many will say fails as an adaptation, which it does horribly. The only thing that can be appreciated in my opinion is sullen defoes ryuk, and the actor who plays L(don’t know his name). It seems clear that this is a situation similar to the green book movie, the actors are told what to do but don’t even know how accurate their portrayal is, but I do think the actor for L tries, and I appreciate that, other than those two actors, the rest of the movie is horrible See more Eternal S @Eternal690 3d Probably the worst anime adaptation ever. This is the worst movie i've seen in my whole life. I would rather go blind than watch this again. None of the characters are anything like the original and half the characters and missing. There was no REM, no Lind L Taylor, no Near, no Mello, and light only had a dad no sister. They changed the rules in the death note too. Everyone who is supposed to die didn’t die and the acting is so so bad. Also, the movie is so americanized that it takes away from the plot. After i finished this movie I literally felt upset and disgusted. I usually don’t even write many reviews but i had to for this to warn people how dogshit this movie is. They change the characters name as well to dumb things like light turner and make him this dumb punk skater boy rather than some smart guy. There are plot holes that don’t make any sense and it feels very rushed yet painfully slow at the same time. Unless you want this movie to eye rape you do not ever watch it. Please I beg u.. It's always dark even when people playing sports in a sports hall, they get the main characters so wrong i don't even think the creators watched the anime, more like just skimmed through one episode.
