Rather than extend the epic sweep of this picture into the cosmic ineffable, he just wants the viewer bouncing along and rooting for its female hero. And the film succeeds admirably in this respect.

Great desert scenery, good acting, and a tie-in to the history of the region.

Desert Warrior was a solid film. It highlights the wars men will start just to have control over women. Mackie did a great job as always. I wished the writer would have focused more on the women who made the plot move. A lot of the crucial storyline was rushed and washed over in favor of just showing the men be brutal, but not the intellectual power moves the women made.

The scenery is stunning and the storyline had a lot of historical meaning about honor and survival. I expected more screen time from Anthony Mackie. However, he was great and connected with his co-star Aiysha Hart. This film easily could've been a 3 part tv mini series.

When the wild Hyenas and elephants showed up the movie lost me. If there was going to be fantasy then they needed to add it in other areas as well, not just in the fighting sequence .
