A strictly members-only entertainment for a dedicated target audience, "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" will impress the uninitiated as very loud and very colorful, but not nearly fast-paced enough. Go to Full Review

Despite falling back on traditional DBZ clichés, Resurrection 'F' features enough beautifully animated butt-kicking to warrant a watch. Go to Full Review

The realization that we're reuniting Goku, Vegeta and Frieza feels ripe for some kind of massive catharsis, but this movie's story is simply not that ambitious. Go to Full Review

Nathan J. @NathanDirector 2d Rated: 7.8/10 ⭐️ I went in hyped for Frieza’s comeback and got a fast, flashy slugfest. It’s leaner and meaner with total metal concert energy. What Worked: Toei’s fluid animation makes the crisp impacts pop, showing exactly why they pushed for IMAX. Frieza’s voice work steals it for me; mixing petty and cruel makes him a real threat. Plus, Toriyama’s pacing means zero filler; the humor lands and the stakes stay completely clear. The Cuts: The army fight really dragged for me; I wanted less mob cleanup and more main event. The Super Saiyan Blue reveal happens so quick it lacks breathing room and emotional buildup. Also, the supporting Z Fighters get totally sidelined just to act as warm-ups. Verdict: A straight-up gorgeous brawl. Through my Methodist faith lens, I wrestled with the revenge themes but loved the message that pride and “going it alone” fails. Skip if you need a slow build. See more Rafael S @RT29537273 Oct 23 It's not necessarily a bad movie, it's even average (especially if you compare it to the anime version which is absolute trash) There are some cool fights, and the supporting characters are outstanding, but Gohan is a disappointment with a terrible visual. SSGSS and Golden Frieza are cool (but poorly developed). See more Marsh X @RT20569085 04/29/2025 I'm not going to say this is the best dragon ball movie of all time but I would've thought it was when I was younger because I loved everything that was dragon ball so much, however this would still be on the list of my favourite animes because of how well known dragon ball is for their fighting sequences, transformations, and overall great animation, would highly recommend if you're into action packed anime. 10/10 See more Read all reviews
