From the trailers, I expected something more groundbreaking and riveting, and it wasn't anything memorable. it is nowhere near as inspiring or insightful as the movie hopes to be. It's really just a basic documentary with a lot of animation, which isn't all that well done or effective. Take away the animation trick and its just a typical documentary, with subjects of immigrants/refugees and gay man, which aren't new or all that interesting. Probably one of the most disappointing documentaries I have seen in the past two years. Not worth the drive to the theater, not worth the ticket price and not worth being stuck in a theater for 90 minutes, especially during Covid. Better to wait and stream it for free than a theater trip. I would probably be less disappointed if I saw it at home free rather than driving to a theater and paying for tickets. A big disappointment not worth the price.
