Its an intelligent script that explores meaningful and emotional themes, it has an incredible amount of emotional depth that makes it very memorable. Matt and Ben also give impressive performances and I felt it really complimented their writing well. I did find Matt Damon's character to be at times unrealistic but this in no way took away from the role. Robin Williams really shines in his role as the film's psychiatrist. I don’t think there's a single person that hasn't been charmed by Robin Williams at some point in his life. He will always be that sweet but troubled man that made films magical as a child, but this role really displays his immense skill as an actor. I found the film enjoyable but for me it was less about the storyline and more about being mesmerised by Robin Williams and Matt Damon's psychiatry sessions. It’s a story about becoming valuable and accepting who you truly are as a human. Robbin Williams and Matt Damon’s chemistry in this film is unbeaten. Superb acting from every character. Robin Williams gives the best performance of his career, and his chemistry with Matt Damon is incredible. Ben Affleck's stories and conversations with the guys are hilarious and add so much heart to the film. The writing is exceptional. The script is smart, and every conversation feels meaningful. It reminds us that you cannot truly know a person just by reading their biography. People are complicated, and everyone carries struggles you cannot see. It is a movie about taking chances and truly living instead of letting fear decide your future. One nitpick is the awkward slow motion fight early on, which feels very much like the 90s.
