Charles P @RT36323923 Jun 27, 2025 Mediocre to awful acting (Schultz's sheriff is a standout of bad underacting, an uncommon achievement to be sure, as she stomps out every other piece of dialogue with a patented steely stare *insert eye roll here*), decent production value, and a script that seems to barely know its own story don't add up to much here. The end was particularly laughable for this viewer, as the film tangents for some 'Bourne'-franchise-esque touches with unintentionally near-comic moments set in "D.C." or similar in the last few minutes. A slow potboiler that never quite rises above tepid - I don't see the comparison with the Coens aside from a rural location - and an utterly absurd, somewhat uninteresting plot.
