Limited reach. The fact that anything gets imagined, written, produced, filmed, edited and released is a miracle in and of itself. And this quiet miracle is well worth the watch. Big movies with endless budgets allow problems to be solved. Quickly. Small movies with zero budgets test the creators and techs to no end. Shot almost entirely on location in the Grand Canyon, this film is not only beautiful to look at, but also has a compelling plot and impressive performances from the entire cast. John Charles Meyer is especially good in the lead, and Etienne Eckert and Susan Papas are excellent in supporting roles. Aredemption story with some surprising twists and a lot of heart, Granite Rapids Moon delivers. Great shots of the canyon. Or, if you've spent a lot of time down there and would like to reminisce, you will probably see lots of familiar areas. The movie has a sweet twist. See more Amy T @amahlia Jul 25 Was so very touched by this film and all the hard work put into filming this in the Grand Canyon. The story really surprises you and challenges your biases throughout the plotline. I had a great time at the screening I'd attended trying to figure out the mystery along the absolutely gorgeous backdrop! As a biologist and lover of the outdoors, I also really enjoyed how much reverence for nature was woven into the story, as well as the slow moments allowing the viewer to have a peaceful moment to view the landscape as if you were there in the moment pausing to appreciate the view.
