90% of the time, these cheapie sequels are never a good idea, not even a fair idea, but at least it gives people like Marc Ostrick a job among many jobs. Go to Full Review

Essentially a goofy little matinee flick for the FX geeks and the schlock-obsessed sequel-lovers, HM2 isn't nearly as bad as it could have been ... but it's pretty darn disposable all the same. Go to Full Review

Marco L @decatur555 3d Hollow Man 2 is an obvious direct-to-video B-movie, much smaller and far less distinctive than Paul Verhoeven’s original. The script is basic, the government conspiracy is familiar and Christian Slater’s name is more prominent than his actual physical presence. Still, it is considerably more watchable than its reputation suggests. Peter Facinelli makes a solid lead, the film keeps moving, and the visual effects are surprisingly effective for such a modest production. Clothing, liquids, objects and rain are used cleverly to give physical form to an invisible presence, occasionally making fairly ordinary action scenes much more enjoyable. It lacks the personality and ambition of the first film, but as a straightforward low-budget chase thriller it does its job. Not good, certainly, but nowhere near the disaster I expected. See more thiago S @Thiagostone May 28 Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Blake- N @PBSAniDom May 21 Hollow Man II is a major step down from the first film. While the original had suspense, strong effects for its time, and a memorable atmosphere, this sequel feels much more generic and low effort. The movie lacks the tension and creativity that made the first one interesting. The story feels predictable, the characters are forgettable, and the overall production feels closer to a cheap direct-to-video action movie than a real continuation of the franchise. Overall, I would rate Hollow Man II 1/10. It removes most of what made the original stand out and replaces it with a bland, uninspired sequel that is difficult to stay invested in. See more Farah R. @Farah Apr 9 It’s hard to pick what went wrong with this sequel because everything from the predictable plot to the soapy acting was bad. It doesn’t measure up to its predecessors, especially in the CGI, which is mind boggling considering it was released half a decade earlier. I can’t recommend it. See more Thomas M @RT66195308 Apr 4 This second installment in the Hollow Man series is certainly not up to the first. Though I was able to figure out the plot, it seems rather mixed up and contrived. The entire script should have been replaced before this ended up in the film canister. The actors seemed to be doing their best, but the entire production made it impossible for them to save it. The fact that there are three test subjects came in late and in such a disjointed way that it seemed to have been added at the last minute to save the story. What's sad here is that I am a Christian Slater fan. Thank goodness we barely actually see him. This had to be a real hit to his reputation. One thing missing was the great special effects of the first one. There were a few attempts to make us feel this was really a man with invisibility, but they were too little and too late. The original was great, but Hollow Man 2 is a bust. It's very hollow with no real core. See more MAURICIO M @Macedomj Feb 20 legal mais o primeiro é melhor See more Read all reviews
