What House on Eden re-enforces is the disappointing realization that, 27 years since Blair Witch and over two decades since the first episode of Ghost Hunters debuted on SyFy, this genre has evolved so little.

How much was scripted, I do not know, but the chemistry of “Kris” and “Celina” give an uncomfortable realness, especially when the catty fighting began. These aren’t influencers acting; these are actors who have found roles that make them shine.

I wanted to like it. It had potential but then dropped off quickly. Also, shaking can footage with almost zero relief. I got sick about 10mins into the film and had a hard time after that.

Its some of my daughters favorite YouTubers. Very Blair Witch Project style, and can tell as the movie goes on that its fictional. I do love how it starts off very realistic, and progresses to something much darker. I am glad I googled it ahead of time to warn my daughter that it was fictional.

Adds nothing to the found footage genre. Boring lazy and worthless. Tacked on ending as per usual with this genre but it doesnt merit the whole movie to get there.
