This is really convincing, honestly scary, deeply disturbing and dark found footage horror. The film breaks the 4th wall and involves the audience in a very clever way. The Asian black magic and supernatural tropes here are at once familiar but also totally novel for a Western audience steeped in Christian lore, creating a deeply uncanny and brooding atmosphere making the film very authentic and convincing. My only issue is that at times the various sources of footage get so mixed up iit starts to feel unnecessarily convoluted. But overall an excellent production. There is constant build up - which yes anyone has a different opinion about that, I enjoy it. But there was no clear direction, the movie was all over the place.
