Fresh out of the seminary and basic training, Army chaplain Darren Turner receives orders to deploy to Iraq, leaving his wife behind to care for their three young children. Although the film has a few battle sequences, it portrays soldiers as sensitive men and women with complex feelings who depend on each other for emotional support as they ponder the philosophical ramifications of death.

A faith-based drama inspired by a true story, this film explores the profound toll of war on military chaplains, soldiers, and their families. While it doesn’t shy away from the harsh and often heartbreaking realities of combat and its aftermath, it also offers powerful moments of hope and resilience. The performances are strong, with believable characters portrayed in a realistic and relatable way, in my opinion.

Well done, great acting, great story. captures well some of the experiences soldiers can have and the ptsd and family issues when returning home. It has a great message about struggles with faith through hard times and continuing to tryst God when we dont understand. Loved this movie

I enjoyed this one overall as it tells a true-life story of what Chaplin's in the Army go through and the challenges when they return home to their families.
