Irena’s Vow continues the understandable preference since Schindler’s List (1993) for vignettes of goodness and hope over the camps’ overwhelming hopelessness. Go to Full Review

The story of her remarkable courage and heroism is told very politely in an English-language drama that feels a little too tactful in places to really say anything about the horrors of Nazism. Go to Full Review

Stuart S @epstuart 1 day ago Superb film! Very intense violence in a couple of places … thus the “R” rating is justified . However , the depiction of Nazi beastial anger seems authentic , and the “vow “ taken by the heroine (splendidly acted by the lead actress) so beautifully fulfilled that you will love this movie !! Don’t miss the closing “after story” lives before the credits … only a curmudgeon would miss their inspiration ! See more Barbara I @bivanko 1 day ago This was a compelling story of inspiring bravery. The dramatic treatment of the subject matter and acting were excellent. There were some minor plot details that were beyond credulity and defied logic; we were shouting at the screen. Had to knock off a star for that. Still, it is worth the watch See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 5 days ago Irena’s Vow is a film that genuinely surprised me because I was shocked by how invested I became in the story. Following Irena as she risks her life to hide Jewish people from the Nazis was incredibly compelling, especially knowing that this was based on a true story. That realization made the experience even more powerful because you could feel the weight of what these people were actually living through. The screenplay was very well done and built the story in a way that kept me engaged. I do think it could have used a little more action or suspense to put the audience further on the edge of their seats, but the storytelling itself was strong and gave the important moments the attention they deserved. The cast did an excellent job, and the entire production remained consistent throughout. It was devastating to watch these events unfold and think about the real people who had to live through such fear and uncertainty. Give it a look I'm sure you'll like it. See more levi n @RT25289890 Feb 10, 2026 I was great, but then they did sex, and I like Why? What if a kid saw this! If not for that it would be a five star but no, but hey the story was great. See more Tom E. @GrandpaT Dec 18, 2025 Great story based on fact! See more Read all reviews
