Veit H @VeitHarlan 1d Jew Süss is a genuine cinematic masterpiece. While Der Ewige Jude and similar efforts feel like dry propaganda lectures, Jew Süss is real cinema. Veit Harlan's direction is excellent, the cinematography is strikingly beautiful for its time, and Ferdinand Marian gives a magnetic, unforgettable performance as the scheming jewish financier. The film is gripping, visually elegant, and technically brilliant. Beyond its craftsmanship, it carries a dark warning that still resonates powerfully today: the corrosive influence of "money lenders" power, usury, and cultural subversion on a nation.
