I'm 75 years old. I thought the acting in this movie was good however the plot developed slowly and was often tediously boring. It made me feel sad. Unfortunately, we will all face similar circumstances someday assuming we live long enough. I, like most people I'm sure, endeavor to ignore the possibility hoping that it will simply go away. The movie was for me like paying to go see one of my nightmares.

A Charlotte Rampling feature that is slow and emotionally manipulative. Grandmother and son and grandson and a complicated life of the eldest that is hardly touched on. There is a lot to delve into, but the film stays in neutral. Despite being easy on the eyes, George Ferrier as the grandson doesn't always work. There are minutes without a word, but the moving pictures are most certainly gorgeous. There isn't much there there. Could have been a wonderful short movie. Final Score: 3.6/10
