Meet BJ (Anderson .Paak), a fish-out-of-water musician on the search for stardom carrying a bruised heart from a complicated past relationship. On his journey to revive his music career, BJ lands a gig with a house band in Seoul for a K-Pop competition show. While working on the show, he discovers his long lost son, Tae Young (Soul Rasheed) is also chasing stardom. K-Pops! directed by Anderson .Paak is a genuinely uplifting, funny and entertaining film with heart. It has a clear storyline that keeps you engaged, strong performances from the cast, and, of course, standout music that adds energy and authenticity throughout. What makes it special is that it feels fun without being shallow there’s substance behind the feel good moments. It’s appropriate for all ages and delivers a positive message. Definitely worth seeing with the entire family.
