There is no dialogue, shitty animation, weird ass story and it seemed like a movie made for todlers (I think it is for todlers actually), but i liked almost every animation movie that i watched when i was that young. I was on the edge of my seat up until the last shot. The writing was incredible, and I think the filmmaker made excellent choices in dialogue. I enjoyed seeing the characters go through their arcs and am hoping for a sequel! See more 07/21/2016 Sam's non stop 70 minute adventure from one moment of peril to the next. Trying to teach small kids to get over their fears at the outset of the film. Which can quickly become lost as then roller coaster ride runs on like a runaway freight train. No dialogue with some narration. If you've run out of movies to watch with the kids it's ok. If not go skip over this one. Some films can appeal to a wide variety of an audience but My Friend Bernard is so watered down with voice over narrative and lack of story that really has nothing to offer anyone but young children easily entertained with crappy animation about animals.
