That’s the whole concept and Barker’s insight. If you want to make someone love you above all else... the only way to accomplish this is to dehumanize them, to strip away everything about them that made them someone you wanted to be with.

The most devastating aspect of Obsession is watching the catastrophic consequences of Bear’s selfish decision consume his personal life. The audience recognizes the behavior of puppy love morphing to psychosis, and like Bear, is unable to stop it.

Perfect summer movie. Suspenseful. Thrilling. FREAKY in the best way. Just a heads up there is a few little gross scenes but other then that I dont think Ive seen a better movie this year.

I cannot in good faith recommend the movie because of how you will feel afterwards. But I will tell everyone that this movie is the BEST horror movie ever. Characters are amazing, plot is intriguing, and execution of consequences of your actions was horrifying.
