I thought this movie was about Shalin’s thirst to live, not about how depressed he made everyone. But don't overlook its chief asset: providing unintentional laughter. And give credit where credit is due, as Pailoor deftly induces the "coma" in sarcoma.

Paper Flowers complies with just about every rule in the book. The dos and don’ts of drama are perfectly checked in the formulaic film and questioning it means fighting the basics of a genre that’s meant to be fluid for the sake of the story.

Definitely a meaningful film.. Has the formula been done before in Lifetime specials?.. sure. But it works and this film works ,although not without some flaws. Final grade: solid B+.. And so far one of the top 10 movies of 2026..
