Peeper is a decent film. It is about a private eye who is on a case to find the long lost daughter of a shady client. Michael Caine and Natalie Woods give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Peter Hyams did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the humor and mystery.

Slight but enjoyable noir parody with charming performances and great period details. Thayer David was such a great character actor for the role of repugnant villain.

Michael Caine plays a private eye (aka Peeper) who stumbles upon an investigation that deals with a woman who unknown to her has inherited a great deal of money. Unfortunately, there seems to be a group of people out to kill him before he can find her. A lighthearted comedy that is passable entertainment, but not memorable.

Michael Caine is good, as always and he tries his best, but he can't quite save this madcap caper. It occasionally is funny, but is too chaotic to be very focused.
