"Pegasus" is not a great film, but is fast, good-looking, funny and definitely one that deserves to be watched on a big screen Go to Full Review

Par H @Parhwy 2d Pegasus [飞驰人生] is a 98-minute-long comedy/sport film from 2019 which I watched on Google (free) in March 2026. Our hero is Zhang Chi, a former world champion rally driver who effed up and ended up banned for five years. This film focusses on his return to the podium… or does it? Essentially, the structure of this film is obvious: problem occurs, be resilient, overcome problem, new problem, continue being resilient, overcome problem, rinse repeat; it’s like a ladder of multiple steps. It’s mildly funny. I have almost no Mandarin so the humour I could detect yet not fully comprehend. I enjoyed the father-son love, he’s a good dad. The editing and CGI are schmick-as. The fake flashbacks were very funny. There is a song from John Williamson in the soundtrack, jarring however the lyrics match the scene. You will not see any rally driving until 70 minutes to go however if you like rally, it’s speccie as. The ending is… unexpected and weird. Rewatch? No. Recommend? Um, maybe. 6/10. See more Max W @MaxthorWoo Jan 27 Pegasus clearly showcases Han Han's passion for racing culture; however, from this film at least, one cannot sense his passion for the art of filmmaking. See more Pictsidhe 12/24/2023 Some very funny lines pop up in this film. I enjoyed it. See more 02/20/2019 Good fun. The usual Chinese genre bending themes: A sporting comeback/rivalry/bromance/touching family drama/doofus comedy action movie. Good effects. Good set pieces. Some of the comedy sequences are very funny. Enjoy. But the ending is very odd. Has a lot in common with the current Chinese SciFi hit Wandering Earth. I will leave it at that, but quite strange. And then there is a credits sequence that is even weirder. It looks as though they spent a lot of money on this sequence only to find that it doesnï¿ 1/2(TM)t fit anywhere in the movie so they stuck it at the end so they wouldnt waste it. They should not have bothered, it doesnt work. See more 02/08/2019 *ONLY WATCH IF U CAN UNDERSTAND MANDARIN* Jokes are predictable at times, but the movie is still enjoyable. The ending is sort of... weird... but besides that, it's pretty good. This movie is mostly humorous, don't watch this expecting a juicy plot. See more Read all reviews
