Peter Rabbit and his three sisters -- Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-Tail -- enjoy spending their days in Mr. McGregor's vegetable garden. When one of McGregor's relatives suddenly moves in, he's less than thrilled to discover a family of rabbits in his new home. A battle of wills soon breaks out as the new owner hatches scheme after scheme to get rid of Peter -- a resourceful rabbit who proves to be a worthy and wily opponent.

The blend of animation and live action feels natural and even at its most ridiculous points, the film is still irresistibly likeable. It may not look like much at first but Peter Rabbit is an unexpected pleasure.

Gleeson and his committed stunt doubles fall down stairs impressively and often. The voice cast for the animated animals (Robbie, Ridley et al) is absurdly starry and game. Expect many, many sequels to this solid family comedy.

Considering that the initial trailer made Peter Rabbit look like one of the greatest disasters since the sinking of the Titanic, it's somewhat shocking to note that the end result isn't half bad.

Peter Rabbit might not be what Beatrix Potter had in mind when she wrote and illustrated her famous books on which this film is based, but I think she would be OK with its message to children...

Really beautiful scenery great message in the story, Modern day telling with original graphics of the Peter rabbit weve grown up on as he reminisces his childhood. Every kid in the audience seem to really enjoy it nice mild humor, Enjoyed by all

An offence to the works of Beatrix, it's an interesting reimagining, which changes the overall dynamic and has you siding for Mr McGregor. As a vegetarian I shouldn't want to see Peter in a pie but here we are. It's manic high energy sequences are designed to keep kids affixed to the screen rather than focusing on fostering engagement through storytelling. Years after first watching I'm still haunted. This is the benchmark of how bad kids TV has gotten. Not fit for children. Tv like this is designed to overwhelm a child's nervous system to maintain attention. Just because they stay engaged does not mean it is good for them. And on a secondary note, a landrover axle does not spin like that.
