A relentlessly gritty, terrifying and intense horror thriller that doesn't hold back on the gore. Go to Full Review

Pitfall is an accurate way to describe how this sloppily edited and idiotic horror movie sinks into a cesspool of clichés and plot holes. It's yet another low-quality slasher flick about a serial killer on the loose in a remote wooded area. Go to Full Review

know exactly how to deliver what they promise, raise the stakes then give more than expected. It is a perfect blend of savvy, cynical marketing without sacrificing quality. Spectacular! Go to Full Review

Pitfall isn't the worst of its kind, but the script could have certainly been pared down to its most basic parts. Go to Full Review

You expect the characters to be subjected to bloodletting torture, but their encounters with a hooded psycho can't compare to the agony evoked through the low-IQ machinations of a quintet of 20-somethings so annoying you cheer for their rapid demise. Go to Full Review

Despite decent production values and a few impressively gnarly kills, Pitfall is one of the more unpleasant horror movies of the year. Go to Full Review

Tom 4d Awesome early summer survival horror jam See more Yahaira N @RT13618973 40m Absolutely must watch. I love horror campout vibes and this was a great mix between slasher and 90’s vibes! I really enjoyed the plot and the kills were nice! It was a fun watch that kept me at the edge of my seat. And it was filmed in 18 days! See more Sirius B. @ghostnoface 4h This movie should have been a 30 min YouTube skit. There was potential in the plot but dang, are the main characters dumb and boring. The focus on the sibling relationship was too time consuming, the decisions by the main characters were stupid, and the movie was too dang long. Usually, I am with dumb decisions in horror movies as long as it’s entertaining horror. But here, I was just itching to either throwing my arm at the characters or walk out of the theater. See more Annette A @aracha2026 5h Pitfall is a strafing thriller of survival horror that plunges the player right into the middle of the turmoil right away. There's a little extra mystery to it, because the young man starts slowly lowering himself into the woods by a spike-filled pit, making it ever clearer he isn't in a random spot by coincidence. I liked the claustrophobic nature and the intensity of the film. Much of the heat generated in the simple but effective setup is from being trapped, injured, and alone, while something is going on you don't want to know. Helps to maintain pressure for nearly all the time. The film manages to find a balance between being an adventure about surviving and being as much a slasher thriller, so there is a lot here to enjoy, although other spots appear slightly familiar or unrefined. It's sometimes annoying to watch because of its characters, but the overall atmosphere and suspense keep the movie. See more Devin W @RT30807206 12h A fun and original take on the 'slasher in the woods' trope. Definitely worth a watch! See more Alex C @RT00682419 1d The movie was awesome! I loved the acting so much and the action, suspense and the gore!! Will definitely rewatch it a million times! See more Read all reviews
