Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 8 I went into the 2015 remake of *Point Break* hoping for a fresh take on a cult classic, but what I got instead was a hollow, overproduced mess. The original had charisma, tension, and memorable characters. This version strips all of that away and replaces it with lifeless performances and extreme sports sequences that feel more like a highlight reel than an actual story. The characters are especially disappointing—there’s no chemistry, no depth, and no reason to care about anyone on screen. Johnny Utah feels bland, and Bodhi lacks the presence and philosophy that made him compelling in the original. The dialogue is forgettable, and the plot is barely held together by a series of increasingly ridiculous stunts. Visually, it’s polished, but that’s about the only positive. Style completely outweighs substance here. Overall, it’s a pointless remake that fails to justify its existence. 1/10.
