The acting and film-craft is stellar, but the imagery and ideas in this movie are so much more depraved than even the most intense gore-porn entry, because it seems like we aren’t far off from this being a potential reality.

At once viscerally entertaining and carefully disturbing, Possessor transcends its corny, ridiculous premise to give an upsetting sci-fi thriller that will stick with you like an infection. It is schlock manifested in a sinister, surgical way.
