07/21/2021 Could not take my eyes off the screen. This is a great film. Because you care about the people portrayed. There are no villains. Because this is Real Life which is happening to many now. It's happening to Rosie, the strong, loving, ever-hopeful, never-give-up mother, her steadfast husband and those poor kids. Trying and failing and ever trying again, and again to keep her family together to the bitter end. There's no happy ending here. Make no mistake. It could have happened to any one of us. We were lucky. They were not. Toss of a coin. Pray you stay lucky. Script by Roddy Doyle. I should have known it. This is a tragedy that Doyle could write and Shakespeare could not. See more dave d @RT34924333 05/06/2020 Sarah Greene stars as 'Rosie' in a perfect film. Understated, yet rugged, Roddy Doyle's screenplay was brilliantly brought to life by director Paddy Breathnach. It's an Irish flick (subtitles could still be needed) which details the stress on a mother and a father as they see their lives shift after their landlord decides to sell their place of residence. Unable to find a new place to live for themselves and their four kids, the story is a journey that takes place over a couple days. Greene is impressive. You feel like she feels. You root for her get the ship righted. There are some very uncomfortable things to ponder, but we don't progress without thinking. While I know this was a 2018 film (getting to it in May 2020), it is most certainly one of the best films I'll see all year. Final Score 10/10 See more 04/14/2020 worst movie I have ever seen. Repetitive lines would be an understatement , no real story, main characters story is so angering you wonder if people are actually the dumb. It was a mind numbing movie. I would rather stair a paint dry. or do nothing at all.
