Shirley J @Bowiewhist Sep 2 A great idea for a story and for the most part delivered with pace and some charm but I found it very hard to relate to the protaganist and her need to find herself. I struggled with her promiscuity, was baffled by her relationships with friends and family and felt the comedy was quite weak. The whole thing took off when we got an Elvis and Neil Diamond impersonator pairing - amazing and I read afterwards this is a real life couple. This was where the talent lay and I just wanted to see more of their stories. Consequently there seemed to have been a missed opportunity. I stuck with it as it is a relatively short film but I wouldn't be seeking it out to view again. See more Grant H @RT95929188 07/01/2024 A clever idea poorly executed. In conclusion, SERIOUSLY RED is a must-see for all of those who appreciate the timeless appeal of Dolly Parton. The film was a heartfelt, funny, sad, and genuine experience all rolled into one. Keep in mind that this is an R-rated film and, being such, has some reason to take caution with who watches.
